What should STR owners document before there is a neighbor or storm issue?

Permitted STR owners should keep dated records of visible exterior conditions, parking and trash context, posted notices, owner instructions, storm exposure, access points, and any relevant neighbor or vendor communication.

The goal is not to create a legal argument. It is to make sure the owner has a clear timeline, photos where useful, and plain-language notes before a small issue becomes hard to reconstruct.
